Conair SR11 Shower Radio, Blue Plays radio in the shower well!

Poor reception, (What's this?) While radio is nicely built, and a reasonable price, tuning is stations is very difficult. The tuning knob is tiny and 'jumpy'. The FM stations tend to bleed into each other, particularly at the low end of the spectrum. It is essentially useless since I can't tune in the station I listen to, even though my clock radio has no problem at all picking it up.
Great value for the price!, (What's this?) The other reviews were spot on! This is a great little radio. It has the tinny kind of sound you'd expect from a tiny, water resistant speaker, but it's got great volume and decent clarity. The buttons were easy to operate, even wet and slippery. Now I've got an excuse to take extra long showers while I listen to the news in the morning. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a suction cup on the back, so hanging it is the only way to go, and it may get in the way if you're dealing with a small shower.
great if you don't want to hear it..., (What's this?) The volume level is so low (even when turned all the way up) that you can't hear anything if the shower is running. It's cheap, but you're getting what you paid for if you order it...
Paperweight, (What's this?) This radio may have worked for some people, but was absolutely worthless in my shower. If only I listened to spanish stations, I'd be ok, because that's all it picked up.
Reception is terrible if you're in the sticks., (What's this?) It's very difficult to get stations to come in. Even if you get them to come in, the next time you turn it on, they might not be coming in. The volume seems really weird, sometimes you can barely hear it even with the volume cranked up (probably because the reception is bad).

If you live in a city, this would probably be fine, but if you're in the country at all, buy something nicer.
A piece of junk, (What's this?) Who are these lucky folks who got this radio to work for them? I cannot possible see how it works for anyone. For one, the radio is NOT OPERABLE if you lay it flat. It must be vertical, or in my unfortunate case, held at ever so slight an angle to get any reception whatsoever. So you can see the problem with a shower radio that must be held at precisely the right angle.

Some channels I cannot get at all no matter what kind of finangling I go through. For example, NPR is impossible to receive on this radio. In fact, I'd say all the channels are impossible to hear without incredibly annoying static.

I would send it back if I hadn't thrown away the packaging. This is an utter piece of c**p. Please save your money.
Terrible. Breaks., I've replaced two of these, and they all act the same... works for about a day then when you turn it on it immediately goes soft. Then you can't hear it in the shower. I took it apart to try to fix it, and it is just electronic parts hot glued together.
Simply junk. Don't expect it to last long, This radio was fine, for the short time it worked. In less than a month it wouldn't even turn on (yes, I put new batteries in it). I didn't want to spend money on something nicer, but this was 10 bucks down the drain.
Finicky!, (What's this?) I guess reasonably priced shower radios are meant to be cheesy. In fact, nothing is made like it used to be. I bought this to replace a different brand of shower radio that I had purchased from Amazon 2 years ago. That one quit for no reason and yes, it was a problem bigger than just changing the batteries! This radio was much lighter, flimsier, and has fewer functions (i.e. no clock)...but more simple is not always better. This one is much harder to fine tune and zero in on a station. The tuning dial is very small therefore turning it barely 2 degrees in either direction skips over 10 stations at a time. In fact, I spent the first week jumping around and listening to stations other than my favorite, as I could not get it to come in. There is more than enough volume, but harder to control at the low end. I have since played around with it some more and found that it had to be in a very specific location - I really mean just a matter of mere degrees count to get the station you want. It was so location specific, I thought I would have to stand motionless holding the radio in the middle of the bathtub just to hear my morning show, thus completely defeating the purpose of showering. It meant not being able to hang it over the shower head, but I finally found a place on the shower door where it will pick up the frequency...now I just can't open the shower door! Ah well, c'est la vie.
Plays radio in the shower well!, (What's this?) Good, loud, consistent sound come from this device. It hangs easily and securely from anywhere in your shower where you can hang something. Compared with other shower radios this one is very simple - no presets, no digital displays, just a quality water proof radio that plays music for the 5-10 shower minutes. Also something satisfying about actually having to turn a dial to find the music.
