Zadro Shower Bug FM Radio Model, Lime Green, No.SB01LG JUNK

Good enough for the shower..., (What's this?) For an electronic device that hangs in the shower, it does its job well. The speaker is not that wonderful, so fidelity is lost when it is placed far from the listener. It is best heard at a slight angle due to the tiny speaker, but it does its job well enough for a shower. I listen to talk radio, and that has a very peculiar range to hit to sound audible. It does much better with music stations.
JUST GREAT, (What's this?) I only have one thing to say - my Zadro shower Bug FM radio is just great. This is my second one. A cleaning lady broke the attenna on my first one, so I immediately ordered another one so I could enjoy music while I shower.
Great little clock, (What's this?) This is a really nice little waterproof clock - the metal case is solid and heavy, and the face and hands are bright and very visible - I particularly like the red tips on the hands.
Shower Bug!!!, (What's this?) The shower bug is a fun clock/radio for the shower. I got it for my brother who took showers for too long and essentially we ran out of hot water. The thing is easy to put in the shower. The suction cups work well. They have worn out a bit over time and I may have to push them back on more often, but the unit has never fallen.

It is hard/a pain to find radio stations, but for the price you cannot expect a digital dial and functionality offered in other shower clock/radios. Good signal for the radio. Plus the thing is kind of cute!

Great price for a simple product.
do not buy, (What's this?) I got this shower radio and it worked fine for like a WEEK, then it would pick up an stations. not worth it.
Works But Many Frustrations, I bought one of these very inexpensively after two far more expensive Sony shower radios died. On the plus side, it did last much longer than the Sony. On the negative side, it is difficult to tune in radio stations, and it doesn't hold the station once tuned in. You have to push one button to move thru the stations and it doesn't display where it was. The only thing which made it tolerable was that the station I used was near the bottom of the dial. The clock wasn't even that good, falling behind over a couple of months. Sound was not great, but good enough for listening to the news while taking a shower.

The antenna came off today and it will need to be replaced. I've decided to try a more expensive one (different from the Sony).
Don't buy item, (What's this?) I wish I had read reviews before I purchased this item. Radio gets very poor reception, and you have to search to find your station every time you turn off the radio. It's cute, but it doesn't work. If I thought it was worth the effort, I would return it.
JUNK, (What's this?) I really wasted my money on this. Wished I'd read the previous reviews before I brought this worthless item. Sound: Awful, Reception: Worst, and to top it off, it only scans to get the station and you don't know what station it is.
Big pile of poo, As soon as the water hit it, the radio's sound tone changed and never was the same again. Waterproof, my foot. If I could give it negative stars I would.
Cute, but that's where it ends, I received one of these shower bugs as a gift years ago...I loved how it looked, I thought it was so cute (read: cheesy, sometimes, I love cheesy). :) But, that's not enough to give it a good rating. The radio's digital time was clear, making watching time in the shower quick and easy. The major problem was the radio - the shower bug is primarily a RADIO, so one would expect to be able to use that functionality relatively easy. Not the case!

As other said, the tuner would reset itself to the beginning of the dial when turned off and retuning it to a station was very difficult/time consuming. I lived on the top floor of my apartment building, had a window in my shower, and would get very good radio signals from NYC radio stations in the area on other radios - but the shower bug often wouldn't find the very strong radio station signals.

Fun designed shower radio - The Bug You'll Love. Delivers your favorite FM radio stations in the shower. Great features, such as FM auto tuning, digital clock and suction cups that easily attach to any flat surface make this a must have to start off your mornings to the right beat.

Zadro Shower Bug FM Radio with Clock, Blue, No. SBO1B JUNK

I lived on the top floor of my apartment building, had a window in my shower, and would get very good radio signals from NYC radio stations in the area on other radios - but the shower bug often wouldn't find the very strong radio station signals. I had a hard time being able to tell if it was on the right station or not, since it wasn't a digital dial (if I remember correctly, the dial didn't even have the station numbers on it) and the radio wouldn't pick up the radio stations at the same strengths as other radios (sometimes a station that had a bad signal on other radios would pick up better on this than a good signaled station). There are two reason this is bad: you might not be able to listen to your favorite radio station every day and you could waste a LOT of time trying to tune the thing every time you use it (which, for me, defeated the purpose of having it as it was to help me keep my time in the shower to a minimum).

What's in the Box Shower radio, user's manual. This whimsical shower bug FM radio is the perfect complement to a groggy morning. Boasting a quartet of suction cups that attach to shower tiles, bathroom mirrors, and most other flat surfaces, the radio holds on tight while you sing along to a little morning music or catch up on the news. Both kids and adults will groove to the radio's buggy bod, which features an egg-shaped blue housing and four splayed legs. Meanwhile, your pocketbook will dig the bug's low price. And luckily, the clever design doesn't get in the way of the functionality, as the radio offers such features as FM auto tuning, which make it easy to find a favorite station, and a digital clock that keeps you running on schedule. Other bug colors include lime green, pink, purple, orange, and off white.

Conair SR11 Shower Radio, Blue Plays radio in the shower well!

Poor reception, (What's this?) While radio is nicely built, and a reasonable price, tuning is stations is very difficult. The tuning knob is tiny and 'jumpy'. The FM stations tend to bleed into each other, particularly at the low end of the spectrum. It is essentially useless since I can't tune in the station I listen to, even though my clock radio has no problem at all picking it up.
Great value for the price!, (What's this?) The other reviews were spot on! This is a great little radio. It has the tinny kind of sound you'd expect from a tiny, water resistant speaker, but it's got great volume and decent clarity. The buttons were easy to operate, even wet and slippery. Now I've got an excuse to take extra long showers while I listen to the news in the morning. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a suction cup on the back, so hanging it is the only way to go, and it may get in the way if you're dealing with a small shower.
great if you don't want to hear it..., (What's this?) The volume level is so low (even when turned all the way up) that you can't hear anything if the shower is running. It's cheap, but you're getting what you paid for if you order it...
Paperweight, (What's this?) This radio may have worked for some people, but was absolutely worthless in my shower. If only I listened to spanish stations, I'd be ok, because that's all it picked up.
Reception is terrible if you're in the sticks., (What's this?) It's very difficult to get stations to come in. Even if you get them to come in, the next time you turn it on, they might not be coming in. The volume seems really weird, sometimes you can barely hear it even with the volume cranked up (probably because the reception is bad).

If you live in a city, this would probably be fine, but if you're in the country at all, buy something nicer.
A piece of junk, (What's this?) Who are these lucky folks who got this radio to work for them? I cannot possible see how it works for anyone. For one, the radio is NOT OPERABLE if you lay it flat. It must be vertical, or in my unfortunate case, held at ever so slight an angle to get any reception whatsoever. So you can see the problem with a shower radio that must be held at precisely the right angle.

Some channels I cannot get at all no matter what kind of finangling I go through. For example, NPR is impossible to receive on this radio. In fact, I'd say all the channels are impossible to hear without incredibly annoying static.

I would send it back if I hadn't thrown away the packaging. This is an utter piece of c**p. Please save your money.
Terrible. Breaks., I've replaced two of these, and they all act the same... works for about a day then when you turn it on it immediately goes soft. Then you can't hear it in the shower. I took it apart to try to fix it, and it is just electronic parts hot glued together.
Simply junk. Don't expect it to last long, This radio was fine, for the short time it worked. In less than a month it wouldn't even turn on (yes, I put new batteries in it). I didn't want to spend money on something nicer, but this was 10 bucks down the drain.
Finicky!, (What's this?) I guess reasonably priced shower radios are meant to be cheesy. In fact, nothing is made like it used to be. I bought this to replace a different brand of shower radio that I had purchased from Amazon 2 years ago. That one quit for no reason and yes, it was a problem bigger than just changing the batteries! This radio was much lighter, flimsier, and has fewer functions (i.e. no clock)...but more simple is not always better. This one is much harder to fine tune and zero in on a station. The tuning dial is very small therefore turning it barely 2 degrees in either direction skips over 10 stations at a time. In fact, I spent the first week jumping around and listening to stations other than my favorite, as I could not get it to come in. There is more than enough volume, but harder to control at the low end. I have since played around with it some more and found that it had to be in a very specific location - I really mean just a matter of mere degrees count to get the station you want. It was so location specific, I thought I would have to stand motionless holding the radio in the middle of the bathtub just to hear my morning show, thus completely defeating the purpose of showering. It meant not being able to hang it over the shower head, but I finally found a place on the shower door where it will pick up the frequency...now I just can't open the shower door! Ah well, c'est la vie.
Plays radio in the shower well!, (What's this?) Good, loud, consistent sound come from this device. It hangs easily and securely from anywhere in your shower where you can hang something. Compared with other shower radios this one is very simple - no presets, no digital displays, just a quality water proof radio that plays music for the 5-10 shower minutes. Also something satisfying about actually having to turn a dial to find the music.
